Scope and ContentPhotograph Group 250 comprises images of various subjects taken by Center for Local History personnel. The pictures may cover events and exhibits, document happenings in the community or record changes in structures or landscapes. This includes businesses (both interior and exterior), office buildings, schools, government buildings, homes, and wider streetscapes and neighborhood shots. Each series covers one “trip” out with a camera, but can cover multiple locations and subjects.
Arrangement and DescriptionPhotograph Group 250 is arranged in series by title and date (both month and year if available). The specifics of each accession are given at the head of the series. Each series will have one or more file folders, depending dates when images are taken. Negatives if available are noted and are stored separately. Series are organized chronologically.
This collection will contain a variety of print sizes, black and white and color. Negatives may not be available. Images were first taken with 35 mm film and then made into prints, but with changes in technology, later images were taken with a digital camera.
ProvenanceThe occasion or purpose of each group of photos and the photographer’s name are indicated in the arrangement.
