AboutCharles Brown was Arlington Public Library's first Black library director from 1986-1994 after arriving from the Solano County Library in California. Following his time in Arlington, he worked with the Hennepin County Library, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, and retired from the New Orleans Public Library. Brown died on February 15, 2020.
