Colombia Pike, notes and information regarding the Columbia Pike library, "beginning in a garage on S. Fillmore Street, abt. 1932, on site of present Thomas Jefferson J.H.S., this was the effort of a group of women organized as the Arlington Community Library Club and most of the books were donated by local citizens or loaned to them by the VA State Extension Service. All workers volunteered."
